Unsure - that's ok, we will get there!
How do you spend most of your time in your room? Hanging out? Studying/ reading? Alone, with friends or family?
What do you keep in your room? Do you own a lot of things ( art or collections to display, hobby related, clothing, makeup, etc?) or are you more of a minimalist? Any storage needs we should address?
As we come up with a new design for your room, don’t ignore what you own already. Often this provides DNA for your style: an inherited table or a poster you bought years ago gives us something to work off. Are there any special objects or art that you already own that you want to keep in your new room design?
Buying old or vintage is a good way to add depth to your style, as it exposes you to a variety of different eras and tastes, and is a fun and easy way to be "green" and help our planet by reusing resources. Are you open to using vintage or antiques?
yes
no
Wallpaper and paint colour is the canvas in a room, providing a background for pictures and furniture. Are you open to paint and wallpaper?
yes
no
Knowing what you don’t like is as useful as knowing what you do like. Are there any colors that you do not like? Do you have a favorite color?
Are there any patterns or themes (stripes, birds, etc) that you do not like? Are there any specific patterns or themes that you are very drawn to?
Is there anything about the current room design that you love ? Anything about the room that you would like to change?
Allow your childhood to inform you. Often it's the bravest and boldest designs in the houses you've lived in and the places you've visited that stick with you, so allow this to give you courage when we move through the decorating process. Are there any rooms you particularly love or places you've visited that you have fond memories of that might inform the new design of your room?
Where would you like to travel to someday, that you feel gives you inspiration?
Anything else you would like to add?
Thank you!
